Volume 1: Africa Monthly Vegetation Index (NDVI) 1982-1999
Monthly NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) maximum value composite images (1982-1999), average and standard deviation of monthly NDVI images for each month over the same time period, monthly NDVI anomaly images, and ancillary data (DEM, land use and land cover, country boundaries and coast line) for Africa in IDRISI format. All files are provided in the Clark Labs Hammer-Aitoff reference system (for which a .ref file has been included).
Volume 2: Monthly Global Sea Surface Temperature 1982-1999
Monthly-averaged Optimum Interpolation (OI) Sea Surface Temperature (SST) images (1982-1999), average and standard deviation images of monthly OI SST for each month over the same time period, and monthly OI SST anomaly images for all ocean areas in IDRISI format.
Volume 3: 1 Km Global Elevation Model
GTOPO30 global coverage digital elevation model (DEM) in IDRISI format at 30-arc second resolution.
Volume 4: 0.1 Degree Global Monthly Vegetation Index (NDVI) 1981-2000
Monthly NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) maximum value composite images (1981-2000, with the exception of September-December 1994), average and standard deviation of monthly NDVI for the twelve months, and ancillary data (land cover and country boundaries and coastline) for the world in IDRISI format. All files are provided in the latitude / longitude reference system.
