IDRISI supports import and export of dozens of GIS and Image Processing file formats. Here an ArcView Shape file has been imported, complete with its data table, which is opened with IDRISI's Database Workshop. Database Workshop supports full SQL query.


IDRISI supports the import of HDF-EOS 4 format which is useful for importing ASTER and MODIS data.


The GEOTIFF module for IDRISI supports export from IDRISI to GEOTIFF as well as import for 8-bit, 16-bit, 24-bit, and 32-bit GEOTIFF formats, such as this QUICKBIRD image.
